Digital designs

A small book written by a College teacher with a service of 10 years. She has presented the subject so simply and most challengingly to reach the young learners. The book talks with you, page after page explaining complicated things so lucidly.
Within just 112 pages the author hinted many matters to study.

Alexander the great

Our co-blogger SakunthalaVaiyavan has suggested Alexander the great was her hero. I appreciate that answer. Indeed the small book which we have published deals with many of Alexander's heroic activities. Alexander was the only example for sheer bravery. Heroes had born after him but none could equal him in valor and sense of commitment to culture. He was not just a brutal leader who massacred for the joy of killing and victory. His intuitive reverence for Kingship is understood by his dealing with Porus the Indian King. Yogesh Mithra, the author beautifully portrayed his life in a sweet and simple manner. Giving a second revision at the end he recapitulates Alexander's life.

World has never forgotten the voice of George Orwell who was the bold pioneer opposing the authoritarianism of Stalin's dictatorial rule. His two unforgettable novels have been scrutinized by a master mind Mrs.N.Vasuki an academician with an eight years of college teaching and many more years of careful reading. Over her time on researching Indian writing in English, she had written this book with a keen sense of aesthetics. This is a thematic study on both of his novels 1984 and Animal Farm which was filmed and became popular

Her sensible induction to the Orwellian world and art makeus read back them with renewed interest. How can we predict the totalitarianism is once for all over and ideological passions end up? They might take new forms. Then we may need George Orwell’s books and Vasuki’s this brilliant interpretation. Might be this book would help as a gateway to understand both the totalitarianism and the Saintliness of Orwell to deal with them. So congrats Vasuki for your wonderful job!Published in Demy Size with 104 pages the price was just Rs.40/=

INTRODUCTION

Frank H. Vizetelly.Litt.D, LL.D

The most powerful and the most perfect expression of thought and feeling through the medium of oral language must be traced to the mastery of words. Nothing is better suited to lead speakers and readers of English into an easy control of this language than the command of the phrase that perfectly expresses the thought.

Every speaker’s aim is to be heard and understood. A clear, crisp articulation holds an audience as by the spell of some irresistible power. The choice word, the correct phrase, are instruments that may reach the heart, and awake the soul if they fall upon the ear in melodious cadence; but if the utterance be harsh and discordant ;they fail to interest, fall upon deaf ears, and are as barren as seed sown on fallow ground.
In language, nothing conduces so emphatically to the harmony of sounds as perfect phrasing—that is, the emphasizing of the relation of clause to clause, and of sentence to sentence by the systematic grouping of words. The phrase consist usually of a few words which denote a single idea that forms a separate part of a sentence.

In this respect it differs from the clause, which is a short sentence that forms a distinct part of a composition, paragraph, or discourse. Correct phrasing is regulated by rests, such rests as do not break the continuity of a thought or the progress of the sense. You may not believe that the book was priced as just Rs.125/= for 264 pages in Demy size. Now it picked up a hotsales.
